Prof. Roger Gläser, PhD. Christoph Buttersack and M.Sc. Muhammad Wakeel Sahkil attended the 34. German Zeolite Conference (DZT), which took place in Vienna (Austria) from the 21st to the 23rd of February.

Interestingly, the University of Vienna has obtained the rights to host the 34.DZT event for the first time and it was the first DZT in history hosted outside Germany. In the event, there were in total 190 participants, 103 posters, 5 plenary speakers, 29 short talks, 2 industry lectures, 8 exhibitors, 3 sponsors / supporters and people from 9 different countries including (Germany, Austria, France, Great Britain, Sweden, Czech, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain) have attended the conference. The topics related to MOFs (metal organic frameworks) synthesis, properties and applications were the center of attraction in the event. However, there was also room for other area of research like adsorption and porosity characterization, applied materials and zeolites in general.

The upcoming 35. DZT 2024 is scheduled to be in Germany. However, the hosting city will be announced after the discussion in general assembly meeting scheduled on 20th April 2023.
