The 9th Conference of the Federation of the European Zeolite Association, a prestigious gathering of researchers in the field of zeolite science, was successfully held in the coastal town of Portorož, Slovenia with the attendance of member of our working group.

As for scientific contributions, Christoph Buttersack gave an insightful talk about “Unifying sorption isotherm for microporous, mesoporous, and open surfaces”.

Additionally, the other attending members of our group had the opportunity to present their research in two poster sessions with the following poster titles:

  • Patricia Seidel: “Diffusion and Adsorption of 2-Methylpentane and 3-Methylpentane in Silicalite-1 Crystals”
  • Wakeel Shakil: “Diffusion of Sugar Alcohols, Mono- and Disaccharides in Zeolite Na-Y”
  • Tobias Beger: “Understanding the Interplay of Pore Width and Amine Loading of PEI-Loaded Silica on CO2 Adsorption”
  • Konstantin Marcinowski: “Cu-exchanged CHA-type Zeolites for H2/D2 Separation”.

The conference provided a platform to discuss the latest findings, insights, and advancements in zeolite research with scientists from around the world and presented a great framework for networking activities. The scenic backdrop of Piran added an extra layer of charm to the conference, making it an unforgettable experience for all participants.
