Dear first-year students,
Welcome to the Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy!
You will soon be starting off with your study course in chemistry. Lectures shall begin on 11 October 2021 and the timetables for the different lectures will be published right here before long.
There will also be an introduction meeting during the two weeks before the lecture starts. The exact date will be mentioned here. Please keep yourself regularly up to date!
Very important in every semester is the module registration in TOOL! The registration starts on 29 September 2021 and ends on 6 Octocber at 5pm.
Hygiene specifications with regard to on-campus events
Please keep in mind that some attendance events shall take place during your study course. We kindly ask you to play pay attention to the generally applicable hygiene regulations. Keep a distance of 1.5 m to other people and use a mouth-nose cover if you are not at your work place or sitting in the seminar room/lecture hall. If you have symptoms common to Covid-19, please stay at home and contact a doctor. If you have tested positive for Covid-19, please inform the university by mail to corona(at)uni-leipzig.de.
3G regulation for on-campus events
Due to the updated Corona Protection Regulation of the Free State of Saxony, the "3G regulation" applies to all participants in all attendance events at the University of Leipzig/Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy. Participation in attendance events is only allowed with the status vaccinated or recovered or tested.
University login / student mail address
When communicating with persons and institutions of the University of Leipzig, please use the student e-mail address provided by the university (you can find information on this on the URZ website).
In order to use the student e-mail address, it is necessary to activate the university login, which you will be requested to do by e-mail after you have enrolled.
Furthermore, you will need this same university login for enrolment in modules, exams and courses.
