Internationale Studien- und Ausbildungspartnerschaft (ISAP)

International Study and Training Partnership (ISAP) with Monash University, Clayton, Australia

The long-standing close collaboration between the Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy of Leipzig University (Saxony, Germany) and the School of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science at Monash University (Clayton, Victoria, Australia) forms the basis of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) program ISAP. Since 2005, the DAAD has supported joint research and study projects as well as the reciprocal exchange of students, young researchers and lecturers both financially and professionally.

This exchange program particularly focuses on second-term students in a M. Sc. (Chemistry) program. For students of Leipzig University taking part in the exchange program, Monash University charges no tuition fees. Course choice – specialized units/modules based on both institutions' broad research interests – and accreditation of credit points are coordinated and endorsed by both faculties.

Two lecturers and three students of Leipzig University are financially supported by the DAAD each year.
